Suriya Starrer Jai Bhim To Release On OTT Platform On November 2

Saravanan Sivakumar or Suriya is one of the highest-paid Tamil actors. According to a tweet by the OTT platform, Jai Bhim is set to release on November 2. The film is written and directed by journalist-turned-filmmaker TJ Gnanavel, the Kootathil Oruthan fame. It features an ensemble cast- Prakash Raj, Rajisha Vijayan and Lijo Mol Jose.

According to the Amazon Prime Videos press release, Suriya will be seen playing the character of a lawyer battling all the odds for the tribal communities. This courtroom drama will delve into the lives of a tribal couple, Senggeni and Rajakannu. Ill fate strikes them as Rajakannu gets arrested and eventually disappear. In despair, Senggeni seeks the help of the lawyer, Chandru, who then takes it on himself to unearth the truth.
Earlier last week on Prime Videos announced a list of films as their festival releases this year. Along with Jai Bhim, there is Prithviraj Sukumaran's Bhramam, Vicky Kaushal-starrer Sardar Udham, Emraan Hashmi-starrer Dybbuk, One Mic Stand 2, and Udanpirappe.
The title of the film was released on Suriya's birthday, July 23. Along with it was the teaser for his 40th film, Etharkkum Thunindhavan. The creator, Pandiraj announced that they are yet to finish two songs of the films. Priyanka Arul Mohan is playing the lead, the cast includes Sathyaraj, Soori, Saranya Ponvannan and Saran.
The actor's last film release was Navarasa on Netflix. It was a nine-part anthology directed by Mani Ratnam. In Navarasa, Suriya has acted in a segment written by Gautam Menon, with whom he had last worked in Vaaranam Aayiram in 2008.
The co-producer Jyothika also has a much-awaited upcoming film, Udanpirappe on Amazon Prime, which is also produced by Suriya's production house.
